Cable companies attracted more Internet subscribers than phone companies did in the first quarter, reversing a 3 1/2-year trend, according to a research report Thursday.
The push by the big internet broadband access providers (telecoms - cable modems & cable companies - dsl), also called “last mile providers”, for higher 2-tiered rates is back with vengeance, as evidenced in Federal Communications Commission (FCC), hearings touring the country.
